International Day of Older Persons Silent Auction and Fundraiser
Due to incoming inclement weather, the COAHC team has decided to postpone the International Day of Older Persons event. The event has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 12-5pm at Guidon Brewery.
International Day of Older Persons is celebrated on October 1 every year. The day is celebrated to spread awareness about the importance of older adults in our society and to appreciate their contributions. Our elders carry a lot of responsibility as leaders of society. They also carry the traditions and culture of our community and pass on the knowledge to the younger generation. However, older people are also highly vulnerable, with many falling into poverty, facing health issues, or discrimination. They also sometimes face abuse, which has a detrimental impact on them. This day is marked to focus on the world's responsibilities towards older people to make their lives happier.
Join the COAHC as we celebrate together at Guidon Brewery from 12-5pm
