Ribbon Cutting: Art League Glassman Clay Studio

Join us as we celebrate our members from the Art League, as they have their grand opening of the new Glassman Clay Studio!

The Art League is thrilled to announce the grand opening of The Stuart Glassman Clay Studio at Art Place, a state-of-the-art facility that will provide our community's need for a fully equipped clay studio. Boasting multiple kilns, pottery wheels, slab rollers, and an array of tools, the studio is well-prepared to serve individuals at all levels of experience and interest in the realm of clay art. A ribbon cutting will take Place at 12:30 pm, Friday, March 8 at 2015 Asheville Hwy, Hendersonville.
 
Our commitment to accessibility is evident through the diverse range of offerings, including classes, workshops, demonstrations, and open studio sessions with firing opportunities. This ensures that the studio becomes a welcoming space for everyone, fostering creativity and skill development.
 
The naming of the studio in honor of Dr. Stuart Glassman, a distinguished physician and accomplished clay artist, serves as a tribute to his lasting contributions to both the medical field and the arts. His legacy of compassionate care and community service is mirrored in the studio's mission to provide an inclusive environment aligned with his values.
 
Generous support from the Community Foundation, the Arts Council of Henderson County, and private donors has allowed the Art League to not only upgrade essential infrastructure, such as power and lighting but also to acquire top-notch equipment. This significant backing underscores the community's commitment to making The Stuart Glassman Clay Studio a thriving center for artistic expression.
 
Located in the Art Place Studios building at 2015 Asheville Hwy, The Glassman Clay Studio welcomes visitors from Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.
