Seminar: Finding Money For College
Are you wondering how to find money college? Do you want to better understand the financial aid process and what resources are available to help? There is money available for students seeking a range of 2-year, 4-year, or certificate program degrees, and this session will provide an overview of what to know and expect during the financial aid process. Topics will include: Types of Financial Aid, FAFSA, Residency Determination, Scholarships, and where to find more resources to help make this process as smooth as possible!
About the Speaker
Devon McCarthy-James is the 828 Western Regional Representative for the College Foundation of NC, helping students and families across our region better understand the college process. With 13+ years of experience working with students families on all aspects of the college and career journey, Devon provides answers to the common (and sometimes not-so common) questions that come up during the process, in addition to sharing valuable resources to help plan for, apply to, and pay for college.
