Bilingual (English/Spanish) Enrichment Program Coordinator
Location: Hendersonville, NC
Hours: 20-25 hours per week

Compensation: $20-24/hour, based on experience & expertise
Reports to: Executive Director
Are you passionate about creating opportunities for English language learners to thrive in their communities and workplaces? Literacy Connection is seeking a part-time, bilingual Enrichment Program Coordinator to help adult English learners in Henderson County build confidence, practice real-world communication skills, and better navigate their lives in English-speaking settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead engaging enrichment activities for adult English language learners—such as field trips, workshops, guest speakers, and community-based learning.
- Collaborate with staff and community partners to identify essential workplace and life skills and create opportunities for students to practice them.
- Co-create a skills matrix informed by student input and partner interviews.
- Track student progress and support learners in building confidence using English in real-life settings (e.g., phone calls, appointments, email, and community events).
- Foster partnerships with local organizations to improve systems and environments for English learners.
- Collect and incorporate feedback from students and partners to inform and strengthen both Literacy Connection’s programming and broader community engagement efforts.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Experience in education, program coordination, or community engagement
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Organized, responsive, and creative problem-solver
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and adult learning
- Comfortable using email, Microsoft Office and learning new tools
- Experience working with English language learners is a plus
Schedule:
- 20-25 hours per week
- Flexible schedule will be responsive to student availability, program needs, and partner collaboration
- Some evening or weekend hours will be required for events or outreach
