Kat Carlton is the Director of Community Development for United Way of Henderson County working to support the health, education, financial stability and basic needs of our community through United Way. Prior to this she was the Grants Manager for MANNA FoodBank responsible for securing a diverse portfolio of grant funding to sustain and expand programs fighting food insecurity throughout Western North Carolina. Kat has also served as an International Program Manager for a non-profit aimed at strengthening clinical disease management and emergency medical response in low resource communities throughout the Ebola pandemic. Working from Henderson County, this remote position provided support for programs in Uganda, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea.
